BRYAN GLASS, Lead Pastor

Bryan considers it a blessing to be part of the Berean Family and is so excited to see the passion for God, love for God’s Word, and the loving relationships that are part of this body. Bryan and his wife Kristin are both committed to seeing people of all ages and stages transformed by the Gospel. They are also the proud parents of three children named Gloria, Julia, and Noah. Bryan is six hours away from completing his THM in Bible Exposition from Dallas Theological Seminary. He also graduated from LSU and promises to cheer for the UT Vols just as long as they are not playing the Tigers. Bryan’s hope for Berean is that we would be a church that is gripped by the glory of God, saturated by the Word of God, and continually transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ while also reaching all of Knoxville and the world with the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ.

FRED FREED, Associate Pastor

Fred has a music education degree from Tennessee Tech University and has been in full time ministry since 1982, serving churches in music/worship ministry and youth ministry before joining the Berean staff in 1999 as associate pastor and worship leader. Fred’s wife Connie is a teacher at Berean Christian School, and they have 5 grown daughters and 4 grandchildren. The heart of authentic worship at Berean comes from a heart of brokenness, gratitude, adoration, and an understanding of who God is and who we are, and what Jesus has accomplished through the cross and resurrection. Fred oversees the worship and music ministry at Berean. His desire is to see the entire body worshipping in spirit and in truth both corporately and individually, and pursuing a passionate and intimate walk with Jesus. He also serves in discipling and mentoring.

JASON MOYER, Associate Pastor of Youth and Children’s Ministries

Jason Moyer joined the pastoral staff on January 1, 2007, as the Associate Pastor of Youth and Children’s Ministries. He is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College, and he and his wife, Bethany, have three children.
