The purpose of Berean Bible Church is to glorify God by building up believers through biblical teaching, passionate worship, effective prayer, and genuine friendships so that we all engage in ministry both inside and outside our church to impact our world for Christ.

OUR MISSION
Our unique calling and ministry includes a consistent kingdom orientation, lifestyle evangelism, personal discipleship, blended worship, expository preaching, Spirit-directed prayer, missions outreach, healthy body life, integrated Christian education and youth ministry.
Kingdom Orientation
A recognition that all believers are one family, united in Christ with a desire to cooperate across racial, denominational and socio-economic lines for impacting the community and strengthening the body of Christ. Racial reconciliation, city-wide ministry activities, combined worship and ministries with other churches, prayer networks, etc.
Lifestyle Evangelism
A way of life for all believers, characterized by communicating the gospel to unbelievers by word and deed. It is not just an event or program, but evangelism that is an intentional, consistent outgrowth of healthy life in the body of Christ. Small group training, training in personal evangelism, friendship partners, coffeehouse, organized outreach, need-based care ministries, recreational activities, etc.
Blended Worship
A heartfelt, corporate expression of genuine affection and reverential awe, emphasizing congregational participation, using traditional and contemporary music, instrumentation and art. Sunday worship, praise teams, choir, Lord's supper, special music, drama, dance, technical support, etc.
Expository Preaching
A practical explanation of the text of scripture within its literary, historical and cultural context, balanced with relevant exhortation and personal application. Sunday sermon, tape ministry, conferences, etc.
Personal Discipleship
A process of building up new believers to spiritual maturity and equipping them to reproduce Christ-likeness in the lives of others. Small groups, one-on-one training, adult Sunday school, Operation Timothy, counseling, seminars, leadership development, spiritual gift discovery, etc.
Spirit-directed Prayer
A ministry of worshipful intercession for the needs of people within the body and around the world, involving both personal and corporate petition consistent with God's eternal purpose. Wednesday evenings; Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, prayer chain, prayer board, concerts of prayer, prayer retreats.
Missions Outreach
A participation in fulfilling the Great Commission to make disciples among the people in the U.S. and around the world through financial support, regular prayer and personal service. Missions committee, conferences, special speakers, short term projects, international student outreach, small group sponsorship.
Body Life
A result of participation by all believers to equip them for service and to strengthen the local church, through building meaningful relationships within the family of believers. Inquirer's class, small groups, deacons, elders, women's ministry, family aid, counseling, family activities, special interest classes, retreats, workdays, newsletter, landscape maintenance, etc.
Christian Education
Equipping our children in biblical instruction, character development, and ministry training through personal discipleship, home school training, a Christian day school, AWANA Clubs, Wednesday night Bible memorization and Sunday School. Berean Christian School, Sunday School, mentoring, individual training, seminars, homeschool network.
Youth Ministry
A coordinated effort to develop each young person as a growing disciple, learning to worship and serve the body of Christ together and impacting their peers for Christ. Youth Alive, Youth Station, retreats, Operation Back Yard, short-term missions, recreational activities, Sunday school, special family activities.
